Home Renovation in The Gap, Brisbane
For Elaine and her husband, it was time to give their home in The Gap, Brisbane a much needed and desired renovation.
Their kitchen and bathroom just didn’t work for their needs anymore, and the living room and some of their other rooms needed makeovers too in a modern, contemporary style.
New ceiling linings were installed in all the living areas, the interior was completed repainted and the floors sanded and polished.
The separate toilet and bathroom were combined into one much larger, airier and brighter space. Bespoke timber features were crafted by Julian to complement the contemporary floor and wall tiles, and a modern frameless shower screen was installed. Double sinks were also installed over the new floating vanity unit, whilst the double mirror-door cabinet with LED backlit under-cabinet shelf was inset into the wall to give a more functional and streamlined finish to the room.
For the kitchen, the old timber bench tops were re-used to make bespoke timber feature shelving on the living room side of the kitchen. Beautiful sleek kitchen cabinetry was installed, and a gorgeous green tiled splash-back created. The new stone bench tops add a modern and fresh finish to the overall look of the kitchen.
I was dreading the whole Reno experience with anxiety about getting value for money with the outcomes and standard I expected. Julian and team Mint exceeded our expectations on many levels; and yes it was an intense experience but with careful and constant consultation the results are stunning. The value-add of Julian’s suggestions to improve the standard of what could have been an ordinary off the shelf look to a clearly bespoke and unique finish which took the whole project to another level.
I couldn’t be happier with the final result – thanks Team Mint! – Elaine Wright
